Measures and Metrics for Competitive Advantage 2017 and Beyond
As the world further accelerates into the service usage consumption models such as IoT, blockchain, and software defined everything, measurement and metrics are more important than ever before.
Steven Woodward, of Cloud Perspectives, author and leader/ contributor in several international metrics initiatives, shares updates and perspectives related to ICT metrics and business outcomes for the future.

CEO of Cloud Perspectives
|Steven Woodward is an international leader in educating, planning, estimating, governing, securing and executing innovative value-focused solutions. Steven wrote “Using Project Metrics to More Efficiently Manage Projects” chapter in the Addison-Wesley 2002 published book “IT Measurement Practical Advice from the Experts”. He also authored the chapter on “Cloud Computing Solution Measurement”, published spring 2012 as part of “The IFPUG Guide to IT and Software Measurement”. This is in addition to directly authoring and contributing to the cloud standards practices guides internationally and in Canada.
Since 2009, Steven Woodward has been leading and contributing to many of the ICT standards, transformation, cloud computing and government communities. These communities include the NIST cloud audit and cloud carrier sub-groups under the Cloud Computing Reference Architecture (as co-lead), the Canadian Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (director), ISO/ IEC SC7 (Systems) and SC38 (Cloud) (expert contributor), Cloud Standards Customer Council (expert contributor), ITU-T (expert contributor) as well as a number of other standards bodies and ICT communities.
He has met with, and has relationships with, many governments so that lessons can be shared to gain perspectives outside of the National Capital Region. Steven is known for his interactive style and unique logical perspectives that encourages value-focused transformative change.
